Spirituality Committee

PROVIDING OPPORTUNITES TO GROW CLOSER TO GOD

For most people, spirituality implies a direct relationship with God. It includes various forms of prayer, including vocal prayer, meditation, and contemplative prayer. It also implies acting with God as we live in our world. This page on the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' website provides a deeper understanding of how spirituality can become part of our daily lives.

The Spirituality Committee at Holy Cross serves the pastor and pastoral council by coordinating and presenting a range of opportunities to assist parishioners in developing a deeper relationship with the Lord. The committee provides individual and communal opportunities for spiritual growth to support the parish’s continued development as a faith community. Presentations, days of prayer, book groups, scripture study groups and retreats give parishioners opportunities to learn about various forms of prayer and Catholic Christian spirituality, including Franciscan and Ignatian.
