Holy Cross Stands for Justice

Holy Cross stands for justice for George Floyd and all our sisters and brothers slain at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve us.

We are in solidarity with those, once again, called to march in peaceful protest as we witness still another appalling chapter in America's history. We pray that the systematic suffocation of the rights and lives of the poor and disenfranchised will move our Christian community and all who seek justice to truly stand up against all forms of racism and discrimination.

As always, in times of turmoil and unrest, we look to Sacred Scripture to order our steps as we speak truth to power:

For Zion's sake I will not be silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet, until vindication shines forth like the dawn and her victory like a burning torch. Isaiah (62:1)
