Holy Cross recognizes and celebrates the achievements of the youth of our parish through an annual Student Recognition Day and through the following scholarship programs which are awarded each spring. College Scholarship Opportunities for Holy Cross Youth

Holy Cross Catholic Church offers two scholarships. The Holy Cross Scholarship program was established primarily for graduating high school students and secondarily for continuing undergraduate students who have established themselves as active members of Holy Cross Parish. The Mildred Walker Pinkard Scholarship is for high school graduates only, who will attend an Historically Black College or University (HBCU) as a freshman.

2019 College Scholarship Applications

Applications for 2019 are now available. Download the Holy Cross Scholarship and the Mildred Walker Pinkard Scholarship application forms. Completed applications are due at May 18. Read the application forms and cover letter for details about qualifications and required documentation.

All responses on the scholarship materials must be typed or printed, with an attached cover letter as specified. Holy Cross high school seniors may apply for the Holy Cross Scholarship and the Mildred Walker Pinkard Scholarship in the same year. All Holy Cross scholarship recipients also receive a book stipend. 

Mildred Walker Pinkard Scholarship

The Mildred Walker Pinkard Scholarship was established in 2003 by the Pinkard family in memory of Mrs. Mildred Pinkard, a former Holy Cross parishioner. This one-time grant is awarded to a qualifying high school graduate who is an active member of the Holy Cross parish and will be attending an Historically Black College or University (HBCU) as a freshman. Holy Cross Scholarship

Thiis Holy Cross scholarship award was established for high school graduates or continuing undergraduate college students who have been active in parish life at Holy Cross and have demonstrated outstanding academic performance. Download and read the application for additional details.
