Space Reservation
Request Form

NOTE: We are testing the Facilities Request Form (link below), in anticipation of having it ready to use when the parish reopens to business as usual. The form will be used to reserve space and resources in the parish building. We welcome you to fill it out (on a trial basis) and send feedback to communications@holycrossdurham.org

If you need to reserve a space in the parish now and don't have time to test our new form, please send your request directly to office@holycrossdurham.org.

Holy Cross ministry leaders may reserve a room or outdoor space at Holy Cross for their ministry meetings and events.

Please check our Parish Events Calendar to see what facilities are not being used, then complete our online Facilities Reservation Request Form. Submitting the form will send it to our office manager, who will get back in touch with you within three to five business days.

If you have questions, send an email message to: office@holycrossdurham.org or click to call 919-957-2900, then enter ext. 20.

Facilities Use Protocols

Kitchen
We recycle! Please follow our Care for the Environment procedures (described below) when using the Holy Cross kitchen.
  • One-time use aluminum or plastic food containers should be scraped and washed to remove all food scraps, then placed in collection bins marked with the recycling logo. Bins are located near the kitchen exterior door.
  • Containers that cannot be degreased or properly cleaned should be placed in the trash bin (not the recycling bin).
  • Place vegetable scraps in the short metal COMPOST bin located under the kitchen sink. Empty the compost bin at the composting station located at the end of the driveway, adjacent to the Sharing Garden (follow the path from the back kitchen door, to the outdoor sign with an arrow pointing to the composting station.
  • Scrape all (non-compostable) residual food from tableware into trash bin in the kitchen before washing.
  • If use of the parish tableware and flatware was part of your reservation, please wash, dry and put all items used back in their storage area.
  • When washing dishes, note that our sinks do not have an internal garbage disposal. Please make sure the mesh strainer is in place before washing dishes, and empty it in the compost bin or trash, as needed. Use the rubber drain cover when needed to hold water in the sink.
  • Please wipe down all surfaces with a sanitizing product after use.
