Holy Cross Partner Burton Magnet Elementary Receives National School of Distinction Award
Holy Cross has been a community partner with the staff of Burton Magnet Elementary School for almost a year. Recently, Burton was named a National Magnet School of Distinction.
To receive the award, Burton had to submit a detailed application to be scored by a panel of educators. The
school was judged on demonstrated ability to raise student academic achievement, promote racial and socioeconomic diversity, provide integrated curricula and instruction, and create strong family and community partnerships that enhance the school’s theme.
Holy Cross is proud of the support we have provided, as a community partner, to assist the Burton staff with earning this achievement.
