Nancy Jones, director of the Raleigh Diocese’s death penalty abolition group, Catholics for Abolition in North Carolina, is leading a virtual book group. This book promises participants a prayerful and discerning six weeks together. This book an excellent channel of bringing to light the evolution of Church teaching and to illuminate Pope Francis’s 2018 statement, “The death penalty is inadmissible, and Catholics should work for its abolition.”
First Virtual Meeting: Tuesday, April 25, 6:30 to 8 pm.
Meeting dates: April 25, May 2, 9, 23 and 30th (30th TBC due to Memorial Day)
